Excursion to Mount Etna
During the Conference a social program is planned: guided visit to Monastero dei Benedettini and Public Lecture in an historical palace.
Participants will meet at the Monastero dei Benedettini on September 19th at 14.30, departure at 15.00 sharp. About one hour trekking at an altitude of 2000 MAMSL towards the Valle del Bove, located about 100 m above that, about 2100 MAMSL. Walk through ancient and recent craters with a view on the most recent lava flows surrounded by a unique landscape. The trip will conclude with a fascinating sunset on Mount Etna and a final surprise.
At the end of the excursion the bus will bring participants directly to the social dinner. For the sake of organization, all participants are kindly requested to book excursion and dinner within the deadline for the early payment of the fee.
Equipment: trekking shoes and windproof jacket are highly recommended.
